Refinery Hydrotreater Decontamination
A major US Refinery successfully applied a FEDD Wireless Gas Detection system for the decontamination process. FEDD Wireless sensors for CO and O2 were combined with a simple sample system to monitor exit gases for increased CO and decreased O2 to provide an early warning of combustion in the Hydrotreater.

Helium to Hydrogen Carrier Re-App |
Over the past 40 years, a number of process gas chromatographs have been applicated using Helium as the carrier gas for the GC application. As Helium is a relatively inert, safe gas to handle, utilization of this gas was the logical choice.
Now with the ever increasing shortage of Helium, the price for using this as the carrier gas of choice has risen and will continue to do so. The alternative to using Helium as the carrier gas in your process gas chromatograph is Hydrogen. As GC grade Hydrogen is readily available in most any location in the world, which is not always the case with Helium, the use of Hydrogen is a logical choice.
The conversion is cost effective and will pay for itself in a short period of time.

O'Brien Analytical SensorTube |
O'Brien Analytical recognized that sample tubing bundle can be, accidentally, installed backward; and customers wanted to purchase bundle in bulk for design considerations. O'Brien developed the SensorTube bundle for their TracePak and StackPaK lines as a solution to these problems.
The SensorTube Bundle has an extra 3/8" Heated Teflon tube which allows the Temperature Control RTD to be installed after the bundle is in place. SensorTube saves design time on the front end and solves installation problems on back end. Click SensorTube for a brochure on this product. |
